Pub #27 -- Brewers Union Local 180, Oakridge, January 12

After an excellent snowy weekend at Odell Lake with Heather and Mark, we snowplowed our way back up and over Hwy 58 to Oakridge, just below snow level.  Once there we stopped in at Brewers Union Local 180, an English-style pub with real ale on casks, darts, and cozy rooms with nooks to sip and chat.

We both (both! this is not usual) had Frost on the Bumpkin Stout. Yummy, as was the poutine and sausage and reuben.

What we didn't know at the time was that this was the last week of Brewers Union Local 180's existence! In looking for its website to add to the blog, I discovered that on January 18, Brewers Union transformed into The 3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse (new owner).  Still, same cozy location, similar real ales and food (I presume).  https://www.facebook.com/3leggedcrane/

Play #28 -- The Thanksgiving Play, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, Eugene, November 23

Satirical play about Thanksgiving, Native Americans, and how some "woke" white people combine both topics in a pageant, of sorts.  By Lakota Sioux playwright, Larissa FastHorse, this was a funny, challenging play, but I can't remember very many specifics now, sadly.  (Gotta write these things sooner.)
